BEING LESS STUPID #9 - MONEY
Magic of Project List, No Idea is too small, Life-changing sentences
👋 Hello,
It has been raining nonstop for a few days here in Carolinas. No complaints though when people are breathing smoke in California. I wish California got this kind of rain which would have stopped the forest fire completely. I can only wish.
The poring stopped for a few hours and I sneaked in a bike ride for 10 miles. I love to get outside right after the rain stops. Everything feels fresh from the air to the washed-up road. I took the opportunity to freshen up my mind as well. I saw a turtle crossing the road as fast as it can. I am sure birds and animals also love to get out of their houses right after a rain. How are keeping your mind and body fresh?
😮 BEING LESS STUPID about money
Do not upgrade your lifestyle as your income grows is being less stupid. That doesn't mean you have to live frugally. It means buying things not to gain other's admiration but only to satisfy your need. As Morgan Housel writes in The Psychology of Money
"Be nicer and less flashy. No one is impressed with your possessions as much as you are. You might think you want a fancy car or a nice watch. But what you probably want is respect and admiration. And you’re more likely to gain those things through kindness and humility than horsepower and chrome."

My projects never changed for months at a time. It was hard to tell If I am making any progress. Seeing the same list of projects month after month was demotivating. I love the idea of breaking big projects into smaller projects which can be turned over quickly. Quick wins create momentum. Momentum build sustained motivation. I am loving the idea of maintaining a small project list. Read more
